My only hope is that Kasey Kahne gets booted from his ride early, and Kevin moves the the #5 for Hendrick next year. If not, then it's time for the to either stop watching, or pull for Larson or Elliott. I love Kevin, but I love Chevrolet more. Several members of my family have worked for GM for most of their careers, and my family has never owned anything but a GM product. I've been very loyal to them over the years. You all can scold me all you want, personally, I really don't care. I'm brand loyal, and will continue to be. That's my opinion and feelings, and I'm entitled to them, just as it is the same for you all. I'm with you! I used to be a Ford man, but when I had to go through 3 engines in less than 12 months and then personally tell Jacques Nasser to "... go F*** Himself, I'll never purchase another Ford as long as I live", I gave up any allegiance I had to them. I would pull for a Toyota before I would a Blue Oval. Kevin became my driver based off the fact that 1.) He was my son's favorite driver and 2.) he raced Chevy... If that changes, then I wish him all the best but I'll have to find someone else driving a bowtie to pull for! I make no apologies and laugh at anyone that attempts to "Shame me" because I'm a Chevy fan first and foremost! |

no the only one who has said anything was Danica I just hope when he does it isn't a retirement announcement. what does it matter to you? You already said your not a fan of Kevin anymore and so on just because he is switching manufactures! |

You already said your not a fan of Kevin anymore and so on just because he is switching manufactures! itd be the same if he came out and said he worships the devil or supports ISIS or helped bill cosby.there are a lot of bad things in the world to make a person not be a fan of someone anymore and driving a ford is pretty bad thing.. I'm not an ass sucker like some people thinking they will get rewarded for doing it.ive been a kevin harvick fan since 2001 and have gotten jack nothing,not a letter,phone call,home visit,not a shout out on tv,NOTHING. now to have a guy turn his back on most of his fans knowing most are die hard chevy people and saying its "just business" is bs.they have made so much money that their greed at shr and brian france and all of nascar is going to destroy the sport,i mean already has started to destroy the sport. I'm tired of hearing how they do so much for the fans,ive never seen it,im bout just done with the whole sport period.the last 5-10 years of nascar have been a joke.and not a funny one either..

Given a couple days to let it sink in I've come to the conclusion that I don't know how I'll feel about him in a ford until 2017 Daytona speed weeks. I can say I don't care or screw that but I truly won't know till then. My guess is Kevin will probably do 3-4 more seasons after this year tops. Then we are all going to have to move on. Maybe this gives everyone a chance to start looking for that new guy they like that will keep them interested in the sport for years to come.
Im a fan of racing first. Love a good battle and some rubbin. Kevin's personality is what made me a fan of his. He was young, cocky, determined and just gave off this feeling of "hey, I'm the best out here and everybody's lucky I don't have the equipment to show it.". He's not young and cocky anymore but either am I.
If your a Chevy fan this just gives you an opertunity to have new drivers try out for your fandom. Lol. Hell you got 3-4 years to find someone before Kevin retires.

Kevin could drive a first year Honda for all I care, he'll still be my man as long as he doesn't ever go to Hendrick. The team has good drivers, but not a good leader. My wife dropped Jr like a hot rock and went to tony when Jr went to hendrick when Tony started SHR and then Kevin joining, we almost dropped them just because they're affiliated with hendrick for info, chassis and engines. I will celebrate a very, very, very long time when hendricks is 6 ft under. |
