On the Kevin staying or leaving subject. I have a bad feeling about this. I mean we have the fastest cars almost every week for the past 2 years and the best crew chief. I don't see why we don't get a straight answer. I know there is a lot of work behind the scenes to prepare for everything. I just do not see Kevin leaving SHR, but the Hendrick talk came from somewhere which makes me nervous. My worst fear is him pulling a Manning on us. Harvick probably isnt saying much because he may have his own contract stuff to work out, im not sure? But I do know Hendrick has been on top of nascar for a long time and may be challenged by a few like gibbs once and awhile but should continue to stay on top. If Harvick & Rodney could take over the 5 car that would be great news to me! The only thing that would change is the car #! Harvick is gettting late in his career to go and help tony start a Ford resurgence! It could take them 2 seasons or more to work out the growing pains?? I wish it would just stay how it is now! Just my thoughts... |

I thought that too,its late in his career to go help tony start over with going to fords but look what he did the first 2 years with tony and the chveys.itd be nice if it happened in fords.plus hendrick has Johnson,jr,and chase,too many taking what they need over there.atleast with tony hes the #1 driver there. im still undecided on to cheer for a ford yet so I'm not making my final decision until I know kevin has made his.

Lets not forget that Kev also enjoys cloak and dagger, dark ops, and innuendo ...etc! This from the man who would burn his car down and smack it into the wall after every race just to piss off sissy Denny and make him whine to Nascar.
That being said, he pretty much knows what he will do, but also enjoys the hype and conjecture!
Question is do you know what he will do??
I say he stays with Tony regardless....my .02 He's quite calculating if you havent noticed...the offer Ford made must be that good.
I wouldnt cry if he drove for Mr H either however.

If you read the transcript from the press conference at Phoenix on Harv's website, he answers the SHR/Ford question pretty clearly.
Sounds to me like he will be at SHR in a Ford next year

I still think he's beating around the answer, otherwise he'd be getting tired of the questions and would say, I've told you all b4, I'm staying, or I'm exploring all my options. Now you're not going to hear any driver say either of those, it's not in their best interest. The drivers at Hendrick are good, for the most part, but don't wish any of them to ever win a race because they belong to Hendrick. I'd rather see kb win then jj. After my list of 5 or 6 drivers gets washed out during a race, then it's ok for jr. to win.
I'm mostly a kevin, and then Chevy fan, but I'd rather he stay at shr or any other team, yes even a toy, then go to Hendrick.

Whatever happens I just hope Harvick & Rodney stay together & have great equipment like they do now. He's been the best in nascar the past 2 seasons and if Rodney steps his stradegy game up they'd be unbelievable! As for Stewart, ive lost a lot of repect for my 2nd favorite driver! And Who ever wants to criticize me so be it! Tony is a sell out! All that BS he pulled when Gibbs changed, Tony saying he's a chevy man all the way in Cup & his sprint car teams? What a Hypocrit! He just proved to the world again that everyone has their price$ I know..I know for all who justify it as a GREAT buisness decision, What ever u say you have the right to your opinion! But I never watched na$car for the GREAT buisness decisions! To me na$cars downfall "IS" because of the BUISNESS decisions. If I wanted to watch good buisness decisions I'd turn on the Wall Street channel!

Obviously Hendrick has talked to him about the 5 car and that's where the rumors came from. Gene Hass says it himself that he's been approached. If Kevin can get Rodney to go with then it's a no brainer. If Rodney stays then I think Kevin needs to stay. Maybe Chad and jimmy finally break up and Kevin gets Chad? He's about the only other crew chief I would want if Kevin can't have Rodney. Why is the SHR to ford thread locked? That's where this should be but someone locked that thread?

And now this... look at the year gibbs went to Toyota,kyle won 8 races,he could have a year like that. id be really disappointed to stick it out with the fords and they just end up being junk...
