Kevin today in Texas, a couple of events he was at, reaffirmed his stay at SHR. It's been a month already about SHR move to Ford. Not just here, but all the sport news for the following couple of weeks on said subject was mostly on what Kevin would do. He just reiterated what he said before in that he's with the best team, has the best crew chief and in the best position of his career and doesn't see any change in it. I say go for it and win a championship in a Ford to.

I just saw his on yahoo, too. Very interesting. I'm a Kevin Harvick fan first and foremost so it doesn't matter to me one way or the other which way he goes, but this is a big decision for him (if he is indeed mulling over whether to move to the 5 or not).

Speaking of this he just answered somebody on Twitter about this just a couple minutes ago and Kevin himself said all it is is people making stuff up!

If this is true, I think the only thing he's mulling over is how to get Childers out of his recent contract. Harvick is smart, if he indeed does have this option, my money is on him continuing to race the best stuff in the garage

I am sure Hendrick has put an offer on the table he would be a fool not to.. we will just have to wait and see what happens later in the year. But even if it is true I promise they will keep denying it until they get ready to announce it .. Just my 2 cents

Being late in his career, switching to a new manufacturer, and putting up with a failing pit crew, I can't imagine Harve is not at least considering going to the strongest Chevy camp in NASCAR

One thing is for sure, no matter how good Kevin does or doesn't do, no matter how good a race is or isn't, or how many more wins he gets or doesn't get? We'll have this to talk about until mid October. We all have our opinions on should he stay, should he go, what's best for him ect...I'm sure Kevin and Delana are even tired of mulling it around at the dinner table. And we all know, Kevin is human just like the rest of us. We could set our minds to something and change it in a heart beat because we think it's for the better, sometimes we're right, other times we're not. Only time (October or so) will tell.

Thoughts:
Tony didn't leave Gibbs because of Chevy. He left because Gene Haas gave him half ownership of the team. GAVE it to him to get him on his team and improve it.
Harvick has 2 long time sponsors that followed him from RCR. He and SHR likely gets more money from them than from Chevy.
Call me stupid, but I think KH is telling the truth about not going anywhere. He has Rodney and the team. I think that's more important to him than the sticker on the car. I don't ever recall KH going on record, then totally do the opposite later on.
I am more concerned about chassis and engines than anything. Obviously, the Hendrick equipment works well.
I don't think the 5 team is a good move. Hendrick has always had 1 or 2 good cars, then the rest were mediocre. Don't think it's lost on me that the #4 is THE team at SHR.
Other than the 48, the HMS sponsors are a cluster of a mess. Do you know what will be on the #5 this weekend? How about the #24 and #88? Call me old fashioned, but I like the days when the cars looked the same every race. And I'm aware this has NO factor in any team switching for KH.
I drive a Chevy Equinox. My wife has a Tahoe. I love both cars. I also drove Fords from the mid 90's for about 10 years. I drove a Dodge for 5 years. I've had a Chevy for 5 years. I don't know what I'll do for my next car. I've loved the Ford Edge's looks for years. I also like the newer Explorers. The Chevy Traverse isn't quite as cool looking as either Ford, but I'll test drive one. The comfort and handling of the vehicle is more important to me than looks. I might even look at Hondas and Toyotas.
Before KH, I was a fan of Ricky Rudd, and Alan Kulwicki before that. Both were Ford guys.
My wife hates Ford and is as disappointed as some of you on the board.
