6 tenths slower than the 41. Brutal. Took 3 attempts to make it to the 2nd round.
Actually kind of impressed they were able to get off 3 runs in the 1st round!
Our driver is a tough SOB out there with the Flu.

Gutty performance by the 4 team.
A real wheelman would be on the pole after 7 laps, like Edwards, no I mean like Kyle...

29th this practice so far. We have been off all week. I think the bumps are making the car loose.

Speeds mean nothing, they were fastest by a wide margin at this track the past 2 years after 10 laps on tires and likely will be again

Yeah the bumps were a big problem yesterday in quali as well. After he moved up the track he was good.
They will get it better. His 20th lap was a 29 flat. Pretty good long run speed.
Austin Dillon has a rocket ship here this week.

Until I see different, I trust whatever process they use to get the car ready. Now, in the race is another story as shown again last week, but getting to the race, I never worry.

I know for a fact he sandbags in practice. Does it at Phoenix all the time. He's the smartest guy out there. Most of his RCR wins were not from dominant cars. He's the master at managing tires throughout a run. Nobody does it like him, form running the wall at Cali to using the apron at Atlanta. That's why I love this guy!

Well that's fine but this year is a whole new package. Kevin has always been good at Atlanta because of the fall off there. Vegas is different and after seeing a lot of the cars that are fast this year were not last year. I think this package will be tough and not to mention NASCAR keeps taking downforce and power from these cars but yet they are still breaking track records.

We need to slow the corner speed down on these cars to create the best racing in the world. There on a knife edge right now and with that you will see single file racing. Now tracks like Atlanta have a lot of fall off there is always better racing. Why because handling is key and air has little to do with it because of the corner speed pace. I wish NASCAR could see this. The smartest guys in the world just don't get it.
