Kenny Wallace asked him on race day a minute ago if he was leaving SHR at the end of the year. Kevin said they are just focused on this year and will worry about that stuff later. I'm sure Kevin has to be tired of hearing that question lol but thought that was an interesting way to answer it

I think we are off this year at this race. We will see soon but for the last 2 years we have dominated practice and that's yet to happen. Just makes me nervous when we don't have long run speed in practice. Reminds me of the RCR days maybe we get the closer nickname back today.

Besides qualifying they have been really strong this weekend and Kevin said they had 2 good practices yesterday and was just making some tweaks here and there and they are ready to go! He is always dancing around the answer everyone wants to hear. He has not once said he is staying put at SHR. Once again when Kenny asked him he deferred to not giving a straight answer. Yes I'm staying put if they want me here is one way to answer if you plan on staying!! |

There's a lot of moving parts going on, I think. The rumors about going to Hendrick didn't just come out of thin air.
I think Rodney's contract extension he signed with SHR is part of it and so is Kahne's contract.
