Beginning to hate these restrictor plate races. Did you see poor Almendinger in pain on his knees beside his car at the end of that rollerball of death circus they call plate racing.
No doubt drunken Brian France had major wood about this point in yesterday's fiasco.
Thankful Harv was not hurt in his wreck, it was a brutal hit. He would not had been racing around this gross lack of talent while running in 8th place on the last corner if this was a real race that would have required driver talent.
Tear both of these POS plate tracks up and turn them into road courses before someone ends up dead!

I always says, tear em up and drop the banks to about 24 degrees, it'll make them like a big Atlanta, Charlotte and Texas, faster then Dega and Daytona now and they'll have to brake before the turns. Hey don't they brake before the turns at the other 10 or 15 tracks? lol

This might sound stupid but the cars are too safe. You got jokers like Cassill driving way over their head b/c they don't think they can get hurt.
And no i'm not advocating to take SAFER walls down or any of the other safety stuff, just what I think happens at these places.

35 cars wrecked at 200 mph, some a few times and everyone walked away without injury... so whats the problem??? well let's see, 1-Daytona and Dega are the only 2 tracks thats pretty much a crap shoot to win. 2-There's pretty much no passing, unless you consider when a certain line gets a little run because their bump drafting each other while the other line cars are 5 feet apart trying to bump draft. 3-A monkey can drive these tracks if their legs were long enough to hold the pedal down. 4-more I'm sure, face it, they talk (and fans do to) about these tracks and what they can do about them for yeeaaarrs. I think its about time they change the tracks, not just modify the restrictor plates, tires, air intakes, spoilers, height, drag, wicker strips and numourous other carp they've tried through the years that doesn't work!

I give you that and agree, the actual problem is, when they built those tracks, cars were only going 160+, now unrestricted they'd be pushing 230 into the corners. Rusty ran in the 220's unrestricted during a test about 7-8 years ago. So as the cars got faster, nascrap keeps trying different crap to keep them below 200.
