I don't know if Kevin knows that this is where we landed (did anyone tweet this site link to him?). Regardless, I just have to make a plea to Kevin or Rodney or whoever is in charge to please, please replace this horrendous pit crew. NO, they are not getting better. NO, it isn't just a hiccup. NO, everyone doesn't make these mistakes and deserve a 300th chance. NO, I'm not going to relax. This is BY FAR the worst pit crew of any of the major competitors. And I don't care if they win the stupid pit crew competition or anything like that. The FACTS are: 1) They almost never gain any spots on pit road; 2) They often lose multiple positions on pit road; 3) They are NOT clutch, nor do they perform well under pressure; 4) Rodney - you are wrong - it's NOT a long race and they generally DON'T recover.
The time has come to decide if they want to be championship contenders or if they want to be Ryan Newman circa early 2000s - fast car, leads races, but eventually falls apart.

I try not to harp on the pit crew but I must agree that the mistakes made yesterday were sickening and as someone stated yesterday......they should have walked home. I agree REPLACE THEM!

It's simple, if they didn't lose spots on each stop, they would not have been in 6th on a restart and get collected in 're big one'

Don't these guys have other roles in the shop? Maybe that's where their true value lies. Maybe they need a dedicated pit crew.

They generally do weight/strength training in the morning, then practice pit stops, then branch out to their other roles - whether it be fab shop or whatever. But all these teams have developmental pit crews and lower level (Busch, Truck, etc) crews that they can pick from if need be.

Rodney says it's because they are testing different pit guns every week.
In other words, they aren't changing.

Rodney says it's because they are testing different pit guns every week. In other words, they aren't changing. once they get that win early this year they have really been trying a ton of things week in and week out. Rodney said they showed their hand way to much last year so they are definitely taking a much different approach this year which I have no problem with but I mean we still lead the series in laps led lol

Rodney says it's because they are testing different pit guns every week. In other words, they aren't changing. I'm starting to think half of the excuses Rodney says about the pit crew and handling is b.s. if they were experimenting with; set ups, aero forse, tire pressure, air guns, jacks, or what color tape to use on wind shield pull offs, I'm sure Kevin would be in the need to know loop. If not, that's again Rodney's fault.

with all the "experimenting," youd think theyd eventually knock one out of the park...not fail miserably every time

Because after those first 2 stops I would have aborted that mission and changed guns! Rodney must be in denial, this is ridiculous, I know were in the chase but points you get from wins still matter on seeding, you never know what might happen at Chicago, we may need those points! Im sorry, Reading this excuse makes me laugh and sick, disgusted!
