They're not going to qualify well, they'll race very well, and then circumstances on pit road will keep them from winning. Like both races they've had here.

Strategy plays too big a part for me to bet on us winning at Sonoma - we have one of the worst in-race strategic crew chiefs of all the major teams, and Sonoma is a big-time strategy track. But I agree that we will qualify in the low-mid teens, but race well - probably in the the top 7.

I heard Gordon talking about the last few years the best way around was to go around the curbs and keep your aero platform sealed to the ground. With the decrease down force this year it looks like everybody's curb hoppin except Kevin. He's driving around them from what I've seen. Maybe that's going to save tires on long runs but definitely will hurt his short runs.

yeah it's absolutely horrible in qualifying Wow 1.6 seconds off in 30th. Tires fall off big time here. I am confident we will rise to the front by lap 25.

Huh, Jr. thought he had them covered today. Won't make the second round.
Nice lap by Stewart

Started 17th last year and drove our way up towards the front after 25 laps or so. Then stradegy hammered us down the rest of the day.
Starting a few more rows back today. Feel very good about the long run. The rest of the SHR cars are fast, qualified in the top 12. We have chosen a different setup. Hopefully it's the right call.
