We need 2 good top 10's and on to the next round. It makes me nervous though. It seems we always have bad luck and we have out pointed the field all year and when it counts we finish outside the top 10. Bad luck.

Car just OK so far in 2nd practice this morning.
Just went out again for only 2 laps.
Still searching it would appear.
42, 78, 20 and 19 have great long run speed.

9th on the 5 lap average. his ten lap should be a bit better as his first couple were extremely slow. 42 did not run 10 straight but the 42, 19, 78 are very good. |

They must have put fresh rubber on from lap 17 on.
But the car looks better on the second run.

I have little doubt the car will be good tomorrow, but qualifying has been real frustrating.

It is nice to win when we don't have the best car. About time we get some back we lost. Boom!! We have work to do to beat the Toyotas though. With the rules change has gave them the advantage back the other teams made up. Did not realize we used the car from last year. Maybe there holding the good cars back. We don't have to break it out at Dover this year that's for sure.

Not to worry---I have my old leather Goodwrench hat on....we will be second or better! If that car can rotate thru the corners he will be good....seen him slice and dice up here like a mad man! Interesting stats from Jayski. Of the 4 cars that made only 4 stops during the race, we were 2nd fastest of the 78, 20, 24, and 4. The only reason why we were not ahead of the 78 in time was due to the 78 taking 2 tires on one stop. www.jayski.com/stats/2016/pdfs/28nhms2016pittimes.pdf |

Swapping the front tire changer has been huge. That guy was just not reliable at all.
