Chassis Information - Chassis No. 4-986: Kevin Harvick will pilot the No. 4 Jimmy John’s Ford Fusion built on Chassis No. 4-986 in the Camping World 500k at Phoenix International Raceway. Built new in 2016, Chassis No. 4-986 made its NASCAR Cup Series debut in April at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, where it started 22nd, led one lap and finished 10th. In its second appearance, Harvick started first after rain cancelled qualifying at Kentucky, led 128 laps and finished ninth. In its final start of 2016 and its most recent start, Harvick started fourth, finished fifth and led 33 laps at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn in August.
Pressure should be pretty high this weekend to get the first W. Seems like an average car this weekend.

Would be nice to get bonus points, but these first 26 races don't really matter all that much in terms of getting into the playoffs anymore. That being said, curious why they wouldn't bring a car with better success to his best track.

True but with a new power plant under the hood--- a few tweeks, and a motivated driver--perhaps we can perform "above average"

I just question the amount of pressure he has on this race and whether or not they are bringing the best ride in their stable.

I meant pressure as going in he's the odds on favorite to win, almost expected, and if he doesn't it's more of a surprise. Obviously he'll make the playoffs or whatever they call it now.

SHR was sunk before the chase even start last year. Hendrick already pulled their support. Just look at how the 48 finished. I think his performance, at Phoenix, last year reflected the lack of Hendrick support. I think we'll see better result this go around.

The car is junk. Going to be a long weekend. Last fall same problem but still had a good finish.

Well it looks like a long day tomorrow. Rodney and Kevin are going to have to come up with something and stick it in the car tomorrow. Nothing good about happy hour. I'll bet they still run decent tomorrow but don't count on a win.
