Chassis Information - Chassis No. 4-004: Kevin Harvick will pilot the No. 4 Busch Light Ford Fusion built on Chassis No. 4-004 in the Kentucky 400 Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. Built new in 2017, Chassis No. 4-004 made its debut in the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, where it started third and finished sixth.
Kevin was able to check one off the list a few weeks ago. Hopefully he can get another one this weekend!

What ever Rodney and Kevin found 2 years ago is gone. The speed is decent a good top 10 to top 5 team, but the out right speed is not there. The 78,18, and 42 are the class of the field right now. We look like our speed is definitely off this weekend. I am not sure about the rule change but after watching final practice the Toyota' s are really happy with it. If not for the way the end of the races has went this year, Toyota could have easily almost all the wins with the 78 and 18.

I'm hoping with it being a night race the car is set up more towards that, but you right. I miss the days of unloading and being at the top of the leaderboard.

This year, Kevin and Rodney found a manufacture change... I'm more interested in how they do the 2nd time at tracks. 2nd time to a track should be better for the 4 team. What I am really interested in, is what I am seeing with the Toyota's... Like a return to a Coil Bound setup just with the shocks. Last night Kyle's truck team could get the front tire off because it wouldn't drop when the jack lifted the car. The Crew Chief told Kyle to not slam on the brakes when coming down pit road so the shock wouldn't compress. Last pit stop of the night, you could see the tire changer pulling down on the tire to get it lowered down enough to pull the tire off. 2 weeks ago at Sonoma... 78 team blew a good finish, because his team could get the right front tire off... Why!? The tire didn't drop when it was lifted by the jack. How many times have you seen that happen? I know Kevin had it happen at Martinsville because of a chain that held the rear axel up...

Rodney said on Twitter he'd be happy if it rained and they started 4th...it's been one of those days. Hope that's not a precursor for the weekend.

They just cancelled round 3 of qualifying because of clouds. No really. Clouds. Hasn't rained yet...clouds. Coincidentally, Pouty ended round 2 in the top spot and 4 Toyotas are in the top 5. Worked out nicely for them.

Sry... tried to find the change online and can not find a single mention of any splitter change. So, what changes are they making? I am assuming that it favors the Toyotas... which will just hand more wins to the 78.

Announcers have been talking up the 18 non-stop the last 2 days about how he needs a win and will get one soon. They will do all they can to get him one soon.

Worked out nicely for them. if there's a lightning strike within a certain radius of the track they have to stop because of safety for spotters and other workers in the towers. Didn't really have a choice.

Not sure where you're seeing this at, but there hasn't been a rule change. Teams have been running different variations of the splitter since 2016. The rule only mandates a surface area, and a leading edge. No restriction on the profile. 42 here with one variation the teams are running. 77 and 18 with a different variation

I saw them talking about it in final practice. The 11 car Denny stated it will help the Toyota's by equaling the field out. However they have a advantage so I am sure you can read between the lines not to mention just look at the leader board this week.

Can't restart in Busch series either. Had freshest tires and went from 7th to 12th on restart. Pouty was directly in front of him and went up 2 spots. I just don't understand why his restarts are so bad nowadays when he used to be so good at them.
