I went there about 20 years ago, spring race, did a back to back and went on to Pocono from there. We rv parked across sr1. SE of the track, probably about a 1/2 mile from the track, not to bad a walk. Can't remember the name of the campground though. Had a great time and hope you do to. And you're right, we need some redemption, we always seem to run good here but not good enough.

I've only been there once... in fact its the ONLY cup race I have been too. 2001 went as a Steve Park fan and left as a Kevin Harvick fan!

I can get to Sonoma in about the same about of time. For the past 3 year, I have tried to plan a trip, but it keeps getting the boot.

Qualifying? Hope Kevin can pass all those Toyotas. I'd say that I've never seen this before... but I saw it last week... and the week before that... and the week before that... pretty much been the same story since May. Sure has made the playoff super exciting to watch. Kinda like watching a good mystery and someone walks in a spoils the ending...
Martin Truex wins the Championship .... OPPS! SO SORRY! SPOILER ALERT!!!

92 was sort of like this when Ford was untouchable - they won 16 of 29 races and were 1-2-3 in the championship

Nah, you're right though, even Dodge and Pontiac had their days. Just like teams that have all the pieces in place and dominate for 2, 4 and more years consecutively.

Well... Not what I was hoping for! But I am going to take a positive away from it... This is the first race that I really felt like the Toyota camp was not invincible. Yeah, I know that a Toyota win... But they looked vulnerable... think Kev would have had an easy top 2 if he'd hadn't had that loose tire.

And one other thing.... When I went to Dover... that place was packed!!! I sat in the turn 2 stands. Looked like they were practically empty today!
