Car's fast. Should have a good chance at finishing second or third to the Toyotas. It is an obvious joke when the 19 is in the top 6 or 7 cars every practice!
Just look at the result of the Xfinity race. These drivers are good... but those really really talented drivers... you know Suarez, Jones, Bell, Ryan Preece ... What!? Who you ask? Ryan Preece! You know, he has 3 starts and 1 win (2nd, 1st and 4th)! Yeah that Preece. Anyway, they all have 1 thing in common... JGR Toyota's. Only driver out there that does not fit the mold is William Byron. But, when Bryon was in the trucks, you guessed it... drove a Toyota for KBR. So, what I take from all of this, is to be one of the truly great drivers... the next "Sliced Bread"... You have to drive a JGR Toyota! And we wonder why Cup drivers are seeing a severe lack in talented drivers coming up to Cup. Oh and just FYI... In 2016, Preece ran a full Xfinity schedule... Best finish was 10th. Hmmmm.... .... On the Ford side! Yes they need someone to push them. In the 1998... Jeff won 13 races. WOW... the dominance of Chevy... But Mark Martin running a Ford won 8 and finished 2nd to a lot of those races Jeff Gordon won. I think those 2 pushed each other. But this isn't what we are seeing in this era of racing... Only other team pushing Martin Truex is KB... Truex hasn't lost a race to great racing. Oh Well! It's good to see Ford catching up. Glad to see Kevin hasn't given up... That is why we like him... when everything is stacked against the 4 team ...they go out and race.

Track's gonna get drenched tonight so whatever rubber was on it won't be.

Track got close to an inch of rain. We should be good for most of it.

Team brought a really good car but pit strategy was a big problem again and ended up costing them a better finish.
Speed on 1.5 milers is impressive, maybe they can take advantage @ Texas.

I think we are seeing what the 4 team has to offer... Yes they are faster... but they still don't have the speed of the 18 and the 78. The 4 went for the win... that was why they pitted early. Straight up, they had nothing for the 78 and the 18... and as in the past few races... that 24 car comes out of no where and is a tick better than the 4. They are the fastest Ford... Just the 3rd best team!
What I want to know is what Nascar is going to do to make it so each manufacture is in the final 4. And these 3 races run earlier... where run when the Fords "had speed" and then lost it.

Still runs the local track up here... been watching him develop in the mods for years.. Not a JGR fan--- but the kid really is talented,,, JGR or not

got to love this new point system where a guy can finish 29,27 and 10th limp on to next round in 8th but then be in 2nd points 30 + ahead of 3rd and 4th place drivers that had better finishes... you cant tell me this garbage isn't rigged.

You can pretend they had nothing for the Toyotas but they absolutely did. Kevin hounded the 18 all day and drove away from him by 3 seconds in about 10 laps when he got the lead. Unfortunately Rodney wasn't sharp enough to keep them in a position where they had a chance to win. By the time they pitted under green the 78 was a speck in the distance driving away on fresher tires, and the race was lost.

We just saw that the 78 doesn't have to be perfect. Is that gap closer... YES! But its like 98% to 100% Take the 78 out of the race and get ahead of the 18... 4 team wins it. But again 4 can't make a mistake... If NASCAR would have penalized the 4 for dive below the line... we would have been happy for that 8th place finish.
