Also docked 20 points, the car chief was suspended two races, and Rodney is $50k lighter in the pocket.

For something out of their control no less. Toyota cheats past 3 years, nothing. #4 team has a part failure, throw the book at them. The joke continues...

It sounds like they were messing with the rear window braces, running something other than aluminum. That was in their control.

Hell. I'm glad they tried something new. Need the fire in the veins.

Well, we know the cold hard truth. They're not afraid to throw the book at anyone not in a Toyota or named Jimmie Johnson.

BTW I hope all the NASCAR teams enjoy mom's basement-dwelling losers from Reddit and social media doing NASCAR's inspections for them as was the case here.

I expect them to murder the field this week at Phoenix as a reply to this

Now we are being compared to The 22 from last season. All this high payed analyst, they cannot even figure out Joey had a average slow car at Richmond and won on strategy not to mention the fords were at a disadvantage all season. I hope we kick butt Sunday. We will never here the end of it until our next win.

I am more frustrated with the inconstant calls Nascar makes than I am with the penalty. I don’t agree with taken the playoff points away for a part failure during the race unless the intent can be proven. I wanna believe NASCAR is not bias, but the reality is they are. Toyota pumps more money in the sport than any other manufacturer. It seemed to me last year the 78 team on a consistant basics, failed pre race tech and post race tech. Never once was a playoff point taken away. Cheating is cheating whether the front splitter, engine, or any other mechanical part was tampered with.

Yes to all of ya. And especially to the point of not hearing the end of this all season. One way is to win Phoenix and set a Kevin record with about 7 or 8 more wins this year. That'll shut em up!!!

Does anybody really pay attention to the naysayers? I don't.

One team was penalized and the other 36 teams let out a collective breath... Fords are 6 years behind in the Aero department and it has forced those teams to be really really creative on making their cars competitive. Was it a part failure or a designed flaw? In most cases, its the failure of a part that gets you busted. Kudos to the 4 team for playing the game! Hopefully next week they bring a dump truck and still win! OK so maybe not a dump truck... but super fast Ford! Listen to this for a bit and you'll start to get the point... Its what we all know...just nice to hear someone talk about it... puts it all in perspective. Right around the 11minute mark.. and warning on language .Young & Pruitt E26: Tim Petchak
