[My knee-jerk reaction to the first few minutes of practice] Someone meddled with stuff in the garage. In my opinion, they are trying to get Chevy their first win and it's helping the Toyota too... [Update] So KB is 0.420 faster than 2nd on the chart...Alex Bowman. He's 0.482 faster than Harvick (5th). Top 3 are Toyota (KB), Chevy(AlexB), Ford(ClintB). When practice first started, Top of the chart was dominated by Toyota and Chevy. Looks like in qual trim all things seem equal. And I like Dennys new KB's nickname... I was just going to say the fix is in and kyle is reaping the rewards.nascar just wont let it be.a driver was having a championsip year and onc e the krying started nascar had to make changes.this makes me sick.and heres an eff you to the ones that say its crazy that nascar has done anything to help the #18..the #18 is once again half a second faster than anyone.. |

LOL! Xfinity practice... Chase has the fastest lap so far @158.520 (56 sec lap times) ... LOL! Lets put this in perspective... I hit 80 today on my way to work in my Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. So in my truck... I hit 1/2 the speed they are running on a track that races like an interstate... They're in a race car and I was in a truck! I know it still 150mph... but really! I think my speedometer goes to 120! Maybe in a draft, I can get it to 158.520

If he has half a second on the field in qualifying or practice tomorrow maybe I'll get worried, but there are so many variables (catching cars, tires, draft) in practice times that it's impossible to glean anything from a single lap speed most sessions.

He could've just hit a completely perfect lap. You screw up one corner and it could mean 3-4 tenths given how long the straightaways are. Somehow, our guy has the most wins so far this year, and the series is rigged for the 18 car. Listen, Kyle is my least favorite driver. Always has been. However, the cat can drive a racecar. When he has good equipment, just like Kevin, he's capable of winning EVERY SINGLE WEEK. If the sport is rigged, don't you think they'd be fixing races (which is virtually impossible) for drivers like Chase Elliott, Dale Jr, Danica Patrick? What does NASCAR have to gain by letting one of the most hated drivers win? Like Kevin said about Dale Jr, his lack of winning stunted the growth of NASCAR. Don't you think he would've won a few more races and a few championships if the races were being fixed? |
