clint sounded drunk as soon as he got out of the car I thought the same thing and Michael Walthrop seemed drunk during the rain delayed start.

Gotta say the pit crew was absolutely on point today, and Rodney was great with his calls. I completely agreed with taking 2 when he did, and taking 4 at that last stop. That being said, I'm a little disappointed Kevin didn't push the issue on that restart. I felt like, instead of trying to pass low, he could have pushed Clint into the corners like he did to Jimmie at Cali a few years back and made him carry more speed than he wanted to. I don't think he realized just how close the rain was, but I thought he was much more passive than he should have been. Rain shortened races are always a crap shoot though.

They had an absolutely perfect day on pit road but I agree about the last sequence. I thought he really underdrove the situation and was out aggressive'd. That being said, the radar was weird all day and wasn't really picking up on the rain that ultimately ended things and he may have thought he had more time, and probably would have if Ricky Stenhouse didn't Ricky Stenhouse.

I'm not so sure you can do that with the current car. It seems like there's a bubble between the lead car and the 2nd place car when they're really close nose to tail. Unless you're 10-20 MPH faster, you just hit that bubble and it pushes the lead car forward. Kevin is a really smart and methodical racer, I just don't see him pushing the envelope with his teammate. I wouldn't either. You don't want to wreck two cars and have a win taken away from the company as a whole, just my opinion.

I saw multiple occasions where drivers were on the bumper of other cars pushing them. The point is to push the lead car forward into the corner so that he has to lift to reduce his speed. I'm not advocating wrecking anyone - this isn't that at all - this is trying to win the race by using a racing move. And this is a move that has been done countless times and is well within the realm of clean racing.

I'm just saying from an actually physically pushing the car going into the corner standpoint, I just don't think the current package allows for that as easily as it did in 2011. You can certainly make the lead car go a little faster tucked up behind, but unless you're in a battle with multiple cars side drafting each other and slowing them down, it's pretty difficult to get to the car in front and lock bumpers and give them that shove. Sorry if I'm not making sense.
