Chassis Information: Chassis No. 4-843: Kevin Harvick will pilot the No. 4 Budweiser “Make a Plan to Make it Home”/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet SS built on Chassis No. 4-843 in the Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Saturday night at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. Built in 2014, Chassis No. 4-843 won two races, two pole positions and led 748 laps in its first season. Harvick won the pole and led 238 laps en route to winning the Southern 500 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. At Dover (Del.) International Speedway, Harvick won the pole, led 223 laps and finished 13th. The final race of 2014 for Chassis No. 4-843 was perhaps the most impressive as it started third and led 264 at Phoenix International Raceway in November. In its three starts of 2015, Harvick started and finished second and led 116 of 325 laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and started eighth, led 26 laps and finished ninth in the Coca- Cola 600. In its most recent appearance at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Harvick started second, led three laps and finished 42nd after an engine failure. www.kevinharvick.com/news/kevin-harvick-no.-4-budweiser-chevrolet-event-preview-richmond1

Nice to see they are bring a good chassis! I just hope team Chevy is playing possum... Enough experience at HMS and SHR to not get riled with the increased performance at JGR. Seems like Brad and Joey have matched the performance of JGR. But I would kind of expect that. Kevin commented on Kyles string of good runs, and said something to the fact that it was their(JGR) chase. I totally 100% believe that JGR had to do something to get Kyle it. IMO... I think JGR has tipped its hand. Penske tipped most of theirs, might be holding something back, but not much. HMS and SHR, we might see something... maybe with Kasey and Jeff, but the rest are holding back. I think my only concern is if what their holding back is going to be enough. I keep coming back to this... 10 years ago, HMS would have to say a word, because Jack Roush would make everyone completely aware of the advantage the JGR has... So whatever JGR has... nobody seems to concerned about it.

The 2 car in happy was really good and I think kevin either 4th or 5th on the 10 lap averages. Last week we were 1st and the 2 was like 8th so I don't realy know how much thought to put in to that. We are fast but I don't know if we are the best car here.

Well what now? Running THAT bad is hopefully a one off but JGR looks absolutely bulletproof.
and if it comes down to us v. them and in the pits, oh man.

He wasn't worried and I'm not either. They have had a couple bad runs at Richmond the last couple years. Looking forward to Chicago!

We chanced it and drove to the track for the race. Weather improved, so we got tix. ..I have to say, that was the most boring race I have ever been to :/ I know we hate the "debris" cautions, but we felt desperate for something to happen the whole time. Really the only passing was cars getting lapped. blah
