I feel we are starting to get a handle on this package (I know its actually several packages, track dependent).
I would rather we slowly build to a crescendo...... than to win fast and die on the vine later in the season.

I'd much rather be solid at this point in the season and start getting better towards the end when it matters. Clicking off top 5s is alright with me for the time being. Hopefully igothud has a great time in Texas this weekend. Enjoy it! |

As for the cars this year... they seem to be good on the short run... Penske seems to have it figured out. Wont take long for SHR to figure out what they are doing. Doesn't surprise me that Toyotas are still fast. But, Truex does surprise me... I think he and the 19 team has been off more then Harvick and 4 Team. I would have thought he'd be running better. To many Roosters in the JGR house? |

Good good points, I haven't thought about the stretch. So yeah, keep these short progressive moves to a win and it won't be so much a lucky win. And then it's stretch time and they've got it all figured out.

Ugh... KB stole that one. He had a fast long run car. Reddick had the best short run and bell had the best full run. The stalled car on pit road sealed the deal for KB even though he was fading.
Interesting crowd... ALOT of Harvick fans. And the rest seemed to be KB fans... lol. But then it's a Xfinity race and the only guy winning seams to be KB

What a day! First I want to thank my wife for this trip... seeing as how it was her idea. Also for being a trooper for going to the Xfinity race. They all said they enjoyed it.
Pre-race passes were totally worth the $59. Getting to walk pit road before the race was fun. Met 3 of Harvicks pit crew. Front/Rear tire changers and a tire. carrier. Got up close for the driver intros. Got good pics! KB was the only driver that got noticeably BOO'd. My daughter felt bad for him because he had his son with him... She wondered how he'd explain the Boo's to him.
As for the racing... this package sucks! Its all momentum/draft based. Makes it easier for guys like Newman to be a moving road block! Ugh! Harvick had no problems getting up to guys... but couldn't get past them. He'd lose all his momentum and lose 3 spots. granted the car wasn't handling 100% But at one time Harvick said that when he was P4 the car was running P4. Rodney told him once that the top 16 were all running the same pace. I just don't think the 4 car is drafting well in this package. Maybe that is why Penske and JGR are doing so well … they seem to make a good drafting cars. Still enjoyed the racing!
Stands erupted when KB wigged in turn 2 and lost lead. And a few fans left after he hit the wall and pitted.
All-in-All... KB didn't win and Harvick finished top 10. It was a good day for me!

Glad you enjoyed it, sounds like what happens to KB at every track. But Nascrap and KB must have something going on, I listened to it on xm and heard at least 3 commercials that ended with a voice clip of them congratulating KB on his championship. Joey should be pissed, he's the reigning champ.
