Mentions of tandems, speeds at 202 mph 6 minutes into practice. Get ready for more rules They're actually slower than they were last year. Kevin was fastest in one of the practices last year at 204. IMO I don't see any changes coming. Looks like it's going to be a fun race on Sunday! EDIT: I'm wrong - Keselowski saying that a gear change and wicker are coming.

They did not plan for the wickerbills. I have 0 confidence that they are equal for everyone.

Heading down to the track this morning - should be a good one! Ugh....hope you still had a good time. Honestly... I actually enjoyed the race after I got over the fact that Harvick was taken out! I bet Delana was at ease the rest of the day. I would think that these high speed tracks have the Wives/GFs the most on edge. Anyway. It was fun watching the cars have those big runs and figure out how to deal with it... I think it showed the drivers personality a bit more. You could see the super aggressive drivers take every advantage they could. And in some cased at there own lose because nobody would go with them or they'd stall the line out. 10 and 41 were way to passive at time. Nobody was going to let KB win. Chevy teams and Ford teams worked well with their perspective teams. Brad and Joey have a rift going. Glad to see Larsen walked out of that one... reminded me of KB's wreck in the xfinity car.

Absolutely! We still had a great time. I've learned to just expect the worst for Kevin when it comes to Talladega or Daytona. I was kinda bummed when it happened, but quickly got over it. That's the best cup race at Talladega in several years. I really liked how the leader couldn't really control the race as well as in the past, and that cars could come from the back to the front with relative ease. Hopefully NASCAR sticks with this package for a while. I think it's a good step in the right direction for these tracks.

How is the weather down there for the spring race?? I want to get down there next year,,, my old gal has a medical condition where cold is tough for her. Thinking maybe fly down from the big fridge to Atlanta---drive to Dega--have the best time ever---than drive to Tampa/St pete, hang out on the beach.....

Sunny, highs in the upper 70s or low 80s. Make the trip, you won't regret it!
