A recent poll had Harvick favored by 40% of the respondents over JGR drivers. I hope they are right.

I see today that Goodyear has changed the tires to the same ones they used at Darlington. That's probably a big checkmark for JGR since they were so strong there, though that being said the 4 led a bunch of laps with the same tire combo at Chicago. I don't remember what happened at the end of that race but he wound up 14th.

I don't remember what happened at the end of that race but he wound up 14th. At Chicago we led the most laps and won stage 2. He got up into the fence late in the race and drifted back to 14th. Something to remember for Homestead, don't get up in the fence. However they will need to run the top if they are going to be champion. At Darlington they had a strong day and finished 4th. I think this tire choice benefits us. |

They weren't great in Darlington. Back half of the top-10 most of the race and made up some ground at the end.

Zero practice for the title race due to rain. Guess we'll find out who has the better simulator - JGR or SHR.

Qualifying canceled...starting 2nd to Hamlin. Seems like they could fit qualifying in tomorrow for a race as important as this

Is JGR spread too thin with 3 in the running?
I'm thinking that this is where Harvick gets his 2 title. Especially with the rain. Harvick has 3 teammates that can run different setups when they do get practice time. JGR will have 2 at most (20 and 95). Biggest issue will be the balance they brought to the track... Handling vs Speed. I think JGR will act as 3 sperate teams and limit their own data sharing... Unless the old man Gibbs share the data as he wonders through each team trying to show no favoritism.

Kevin and Kyle are the most relaxed in interviews. It will be a one, two finish for them with hopefully Kevin on top.

What I’m not understanding is that xfinity and cup practices are listed all day, starting at 9am. Did everything before 2pm get canceled?
