How's everyone doing this morning? I'm still pretty bummed.
I'm still adamant that the 4 team did this to themselves, but man this is a crappy way to determine a champion over such a long season.

I'm still pretty shocked that the 10 and the 14 finished between the 4 and a championship round berth. Shocking lack of synergy within the team.

I wouldn't ask them to give up their positions on the track cause I think that's a cheap way to race, but it's an interesting juxtaposition with the audio that came out today where the 20 was ordered not to pass the 11. |

I’m sure I’ll continue to watch for the rest of Kevin’s career, but I’ve sure thought twice about it. They could have avoided it by having a good car, however...
The points system is dumb and places too much emphasis on small runs of races. A great season shouldn’t guarantee a title, but he should at least be in the running. Not to mention Hamlin, the other dominant driver, nearly missed it as well.
The aero package is terrible. There is no reason a significantly faster car shouldn’t be able to make a pass after umpteen laps.
And...they really let them keep racing on a wet track in Texas?
Missing the championship four would be a lot easier to stomach if it weren’t for those things.
While we’re complaining:
The double yellow line rule has never been consistently enforced and needs to go. Isn’t it wrecks they want anyway?
No pushing in Xfinity and trucks is outdated and needs to go. Also not enforced consistently.
I’m a 20+ year fan. I used to watch every cup, X, and truck race of the season, even practices and quals if I could. Now I just watch them if I’m not working. I’ll record cup races I can’t watch in case Kevin wins. My viewership has significantly decreased, even as Kevin’s success has risen. Too many frustrating and senseless rules
