SHR missed it big last night! Whatever changes NASCAR made to the Fords during the offseason seemed to have only effected SHR. Maybe they are taking a page from the Haas F1 teams and not developing on the current car and dumping their resources into the 2022 car. Seems like Hendrick (Chevy) has the current NASCAR blessing and Golden Ticket. When have you seen two teams be that completely dominate? 4 Hendrick and 3 Penske make up the top 7. No Gibbs cars and SHR 8th! Things that make you go Hmmmmmmmm!
Final parting food for thought....
Of the past 5 races:
5 - Wins by Hendrick 5 - times Kyle L has finished in the top 2 (3-1st place and 3-2nd place finishes going back 6 races) 4 - times Hendrick finishes 1st AND 2nd 3 - times Kyle L and Chase E have finished 1st and/or 2nd (Chases 3rd in the Allstar race ended the streak) 2 - times Hendrick having 4 cars finishing in the top 5 1 - time Hendrick swept the top 4 0 - times SHR has finished in the Top 5

This season pretty much looks like a lost cause. As we've discussed in the chat, there's zero incentive for SHR to spend any extra money or really worry about finding speed b/c there's a new car coming next year.
Just gonna have to hope a late-race situation comes up where he can take advantage like what almost happened at Kansas, cause it certainly appears they are not going to win a race by just out-running the field like they have been able to since Harv came to the team.
