Seriously.
I'm so disgusted by the whole situation. Chase couldn't handle being raced hard at Bristol, so now KH is public enemy #1 and hated by most of the fanbase overnight?
I really am going to be done with this sport soon. Sad.

I was reading a thread in a Facebook group asking who Kevin’s fans will root for when he retires. I think about half said they’d just be done with the sport. I definitely won’t be watching every weekend anymore when he retires. Just here and there

I see mid-week NASCAR told Harv not to touch the golden calf anymore. Must be great operating under the Chase Elliott rule book where you don't need to hear your spotter, your pit crew can jump off the wall early, and you don't get black flagged for having a rear bumper. Why not just declare him the fucking champion before the season starts and we can just save everybody's time and money.
Also I'd wreck him again anyway, what are they gonna do? Suspend him? Whoopdeedo.

Here is my take on things, First off Chase is only the most popular driver because of who his daddy is the same as it was for JR when he was the most popular driver.. Now if I was Kevin I would accidentally take his sorry ass out and then I would say Merry Off season and Happy Christmas! I think the 5 is going to win the Champion ship and that is who I will be rooting for..I do not like Chase and never have and never will! When Kevin retires I will no longer be interested in Nascar, to be honest he is the only reason I even watch the races.

Perfect scenario...
Phenix - Elliot leading with 2 laps left, the drama builds...
2nd place chase driver closing in, ah more drama...
Elliott is about to lap Kevin, no I can't take more drama....
Kevin blocks and holds up Elliot with 1 to go, no say it isn't so....
The 2nd place driver dives under both of them in turn 3, can you picture what I'm thinking, how much drama can you take..
Before the new leader comes of turn 4 NASCRAP throws the yellow (hence making another new change) they remove Kevin from the race, re-sets the field to 3 laps earlier with Elliott back in the lead,... Now your thinking WTF, this can't be happening, but if you're real quiet, you could really hear what's really happening, about 100,000 TV watching fans throwing their beer bottles thru their TVs......

While I still agree with premise of this thread, I have to say that watching the 4 team grind away and find some speed the last couple of weeks has been very heartening. They could have just thrown in the towel and said eff this but they've kept fighting.
And honestly they have been very good overall in the Playoffs. Should have won Bristol and the only bad finish they had was the Roval.

Felt like they were able to really bring the fight to Hendrick. The heart of this thread more pertained to the Bristol thing not only robbing Kevin and the 4 team of a huge win, but also kind of setting Kevin's legacy back by having a bunch of Napa clad zombies crapping on him all the time completely unfairly. Still, it feels we're getting rapidly past all that. If they could somehow steal a win in the last 2 races, it would be awesome.
