I couldn't sleep last night knowing that nascar could make a decision kevin will be penalized or not taking him out of the chase. all the articles and comments on them are calling for kevin to be disqualified.nascar likes listening to the fans and this might be a case where they do just to to make everyone happy. if they do,I do not see how I could continue to follow this sport.nascar has altered every rule this year to make drivers and fans happy.it has been one of the most circus filled years of nascar ever. if there is no penalty the #4 team better get their heads out their asses and do what they did all year long and stop this nonsense they have put us thru so far in the chase.

I was the same way last night. Kept thinking about it, even today I'm still not calmed down over it all. What a change of events - thinking he was going to blown up under green like the 1 and 51 did, then seeing him jump out of line because the car wouldn't accelerate and knowing the season was over. Then getting another restart when the 1st one should've been the end of the race with Kevin still up there (the caution shouldn't have been thrown for that first G-W-C, IMO, the cars we getting ready to drive out of the grass and back onto the track) and then when I saw the 6 drive over Kevin's nose, spinning out and wrecking the field I didn't know what to think. Too crazy!!!! Getting my tickets for Homestead today - already booked at the Embassy Suites near the airport. Hope to see some of you there in a few weeks! Give 'em Hell Harvick!!!!

If you have to worry about something from this past weekend, be a lot more worried about losing points over failing qualifying inspection than yesterday. There's no smoking gun or Kevin caused it deliberately under team orders or something along those lines coming - it was a wreck; they happen.
Me, I'm looking forward to Martinsville.

No penalty from the duct work according to the TMD crew and NASCAR. They said it wasn't illegal, just not what they wanted it to be.

Like Helton said yesterday, we didn't know if something would come out of the wood work in the next 24 hours. Well, 24 hours is just about over - so now the worrying has subsided!

Wait... NASCAR listens to it's fans??? I call Shenanigans on that one!
I initially thought that the delay in releasing the "Official Results" yesterday was that NASCAR was trying to determine if they would force the #4 team to vacate their position in round 3, but I think now that's it's been announced, we should be good to go...

Tom Jensen had a really good article on fox sports.com about it and Kenny Wallace really took up for Kevin last night on one of the post race shows. He did what he had to do! To just move over and watch the whole season go down the drain is what nobody would have done in the same situation!

If he had stayed in his lane people would be complaining that he didn't try to get out of the way. No-win situation. Let's get that championship trophy and shove it down their throats

Kevin didn't put the 88 or the 20 in a must-win situation yesterday and he didn't break the 11's car, putting him 2 laps down. He was done at that point.
And I don't want to hear the opinions of jokers like Trevor Bayne or David Gilliland, who Kevin won't see again unless he's lapping - usually multiple times.

feeling better now my friends, thank you. I seen Vickers saying he thought kevin did it on purpose but like most are saying even if he did there isn't a rule against blocking and giving 100% to advance in the chase like what newman, logano, keselowski, ect have done too.he didn't get a call to "scratch his arm" or to take anyone out, just to block holding as many behind him and hope they wreck ahead of him at the start finish line to end the race. I think kevin did what he had to do in his position and he did it about as good as anyone could have done it. like I said, they need to get back to what they did all year.these past 6 weeks have been a nightmare, not just Talladega.

watching the GIF in tombos link makes it pretty obvious that he was trying moving to the right to get out of the way long before the 6 came into view. glad nascar made the right decision

I am so glad Nascar made the right decision here, I know Kevin will be boo'd big time at the race in Martinsville but who the heck cares... I know a lot of people think Kevin did that on purpose but I just do not think he did.. I really think he was trying to move up and out of the way and just collected the 6. But even if he did do it on purpose I do not fault him one bit because he was doing what he had to do to survive and move on... I was watching the replay of Kevin in the car and to me it looks like he is looking behind him in the rear view mirror when he turned up and hit the 6. I enjoyed being at the race, had a blast Time to get things together and win some races Just to add my 2 cents here... Strange how the equipment is starting to fail now that the chase has started, I hope he is not being sabotaged by Hendrick with his motors... Just a thought ..
