He got both Penske cars.
Although it appeared to me that the 41 may have gotten into the 2, and then the 2 got into the 20.
This I believe initially stemmed from the Penske's erratic restarts. All day long Joey was slowing down just prior to the restart line.
And what the 20 had done to the 22 has been done several times in the past.
A car being wrecked comes out several laps down to take revenge. Brian Vickers retaliating and taking out Tony Stewart at Sonoma. Jake mentioned the Gordon Bowyer incident. This probably most closely resembles the 20 taking out the 22 in regards to championship implications.
The 22 did not deserve what happened yesterday by any means. However he is a good enough driver to have gotten around the 20 cleanly at Kansas eventually.
And Joey can't use the word blocking for the permission to turn the 20, as he knows damn well the 4 could have turned him a good half dozen times this year using that same logic.
I.E. Bristol fall race.
Texas did not go well for Joey earlier this year with blocking the 4 late in that race. However Kevin obviously spared him.
Anyway I believe this chase format is driving out drivers batty.
And the 4 team seemed to have lost there minds with the way we have run in this chase.
And I am somewhat embarrassed to say I was giggling like a little school girl at the site of the 20 pile driving the 22 into the fence.
Still you got to penalize the 20 at this point with at least a 1 race suspension.
And a big sigh of relief our guy came out of Dega unpenalized.

Did anyone notice that Kenseth sped up to catch Joey? Looked staged to me, Matt had a wrecked car and Joey had a fast car.

That's when I knew something was about to happen... and pointed it out to my son. I think everyone in the stands knew it was about to go down as we all stood up before it even happened. Kenseth tried to run him up the track at the Start/Finish line but couldn't quite do it, So Matt just accelerated and maintained speed through the corner into the 22. |

Do fans realize Brad's car breaking was the reason he, Matt and Kurt crashed? Obviously the 20 didn't because his crew chief called Brad a moron.
It still doesn't change the fact that Matt and Kurt were wrong place, wrong time.

nascar is about done anyway look at the attendance and tv ratings compared to the millions sponsors waste on it.

I'd like to see the reaction on here if Trevor Bayne decides to do to the 4 car what the 20 did to the 22. My guess is it'll be 180 degrees the other way.
