I would like to see them give Alex Bowman a chance but maybe they go with more experience in Elliot Sadler.

I like the idea of giving Bowman a ride as well. I'd love to see what he can do in good equipment. Sadler would be the safe but boring choice. We know what he's capable of.

Get Sadler over there with Kevin, Tony, Kurt (maybe Clint passing though) and Danica and who knows, maybe it will light a fire in him. |

Sadler has driven for top organizations in the Xfinity Series since he lost his last Cup ride with very little to show for it. He couldn't win in KH equipment. Couldn't win in Gibbs equipment. Couldn't win in Roush equipment (and Roush won the championship with a younger guy last year). Unfortunately, Elliot has almost become a buy-a-ride guy at this point with his backing from One Main. That said, putting him in the 14 would be safe. He's a guy who isn't going to wreck a lot of cars, nor get in the way. It will be interesting to see. I hope Tony gets back really quick though. Its a shame he isn't going to get that one last chance to win the 500. |

The way the doctor was putting it on race hub last night he said Tony would be in a back brace for possibly atleast 3 months. A back injury like his is really hard to predict when he will be back cause there is no need to take a risk that can make things a lot tougher for him the rest of his life. Definitely hope smoke returns this year though!
