Spot on Greg.
Worst pit stop of the day was worst time for it to happen. A perfect call by Knaus and Jimmy made it work. We did not counter in time. I thought they pitted exactly when they should have, what do I know.
The last restart was no surprise to me, we did not have the short run car all day. Cant understand how Rodney cant figure out how to set it up for the short run there however.
Simple fact is that we lost it with about 45 to go anyway.

48 sailed by back on the lead lap and Rodney ran him on old tires like 3 more laps. Absolutely bone headed.

Finally found you guys after the board went down, I've been living under a rock I guess!
Good news about today is nothing has changed we are still as fast as anyone. The bad news is nothing has changed in that we cannot close out a race. I have faith at least we have the speed to contend..

This race was lost by Rodney, I love Rodney but he has got to start taking chances, he should have pitted Kevin after the 48 pitted and the 4 would have most likely won this race.. just my 2 cents

His excuses on twitter about not being able to go 50 laps are so pathetically weak. Ever heard of, pit 5 laps after him instead of 10? Those 5 laps would have saved the win

I myself had no problem with Rodney's call. I fully agreed with it and in my opinion it was the super slow 15+ second pit stop that cost us. No one else did what Jimmie did. It's 2 races in people and there is really not another track like Atlanta on the circuit. Can't wait for the West Coast trip. Hope we can sweep all 3 like we should have last year!

It's two seasons and two races in and the same old shit keeps happening. I know what your saying but I mean we do have a championship, a runner up finish in points and 8 wins in that time but I was just taking up for Rodney on that call yesterday. The run during the time Jimmie short pitted we was destroying the field and up by like 6 seconds. To me it was the right call but the pit stop is what ultimately cost us. I think we win the next 2 out of 3 races and I think we will lead the series in wins this season! They will close out more races this year!

Every run on Sunday Kevin saved his tires. Against guys who were on the same tires as him he would be 10 seconds faster on a fuel run. He made the most time from lap 30-40 because of this. I would have never thought the 48 could keep the lead on 9 lap older tires. Now I know Kevin said he had to drive it different because his breaks were bad but why did he burn the right rear off on last run? Why wasn't the crew chief or spotter reminding him to keep doing the same thing? At one point in the race Rodney and Tim were talking on their own channel about how everyone was moving up to the middle of the track and Finding more speed. They decided not to tell him because they knew what Kevin was doing and pretty much decided he knew best. Of course 10 laps later Harvick was mowing them down faster than before even. Rodney has lap times right in front of him and could see how much harder Kevin was driving. He should have been telling him to save his tires because that was faster for a whole run than burning your tires off like everyone else was doing that day. Hell I was watching Kyle Busch's time behind us and he made up time on Kevin when he hadn't for the first 300 laps. i think he would of won had he drove the last run like he did all the others. Well maybe not won but would have passed 48 and had the inside for last restart.

I don't think it was, most likely won, I believe too, they should have pitted 1-2 laps after johnson. First in, first out on the last caution. Then a win. I do blame Rodney for not knowing (thinking) what knaus was doing. He should be better then that.

it was the 5 seconds the left tire took getting off the car that lost the race.when the caution came out he was 5 seconds behind Johnson......so if blame goes anywhere it is on that front tire...
