For months now I have felt that Toyota cars have a boost button... Watching Denny... His acceleration out of a corner was incredible... same with Cousin Carl. Another race where a Chevy/Ford driver had to be at 150% to even have a chance. You do realize that Denny track record at Sonoma is horrible! Starting from his first Cup series race: 12/10/27/5/34/37/35/23/26/18/2. That's only THREE Top 10's! The only way you go from back marker to what we saw to day is the car... and again 4 JGR cars in the top 10! (ok..so to be fair SHR has 3 in the top 10) JGR drivers are good, but to pull off what we are see this year! It's the car. If it wasn't for the 14's pit strategy and 150% pure effort, a JGR Toyota wins the race ... plain and simple.
And the Truck race at Gateway... During a pace lap, they had one of the Toyota's on the screen and I noticed how high the front of the truck was off the track... My first thought was it was an odd setup. But, as the race continued, I started noticing that ALL of the Toyota's had that same look. Especially, during the red flags where they showed multiple shots with the trucks parked. Every Toyota's front was noticeably higher off the track. The front of the Ford and Chevy's were close-to or on the track. So my non-existent wind tunnel knowledge, I see that as the trucks ability to generate downforce on the front. Something that made me go hmmmm. Oh... and Eric Jones tried to pull a Kyle and spun out... Damaged his truck... AND HE STILL FINISHED 5th!!!!!

Seems like Kevin's cars a few years ago had the same magic boost button. Just runs in cycles and who has the best grasp on the car regardless of make or who cheats better.

Yeah, Toyota was given MAJOR benefits about halfway through last year - presumably in an effort to help Pouty get into the Chase...and they've been significantly faster than than Chevy or Ford ever since. |

ive been watching,no studying nascar for over 20 years and the manipulation ive seen the last 3 seasons make me sick.
kyles season so far is why they made the "win and get in".he has 3 wins and 5 dnfs.it is how they gave him the championship too.
kyle has been killing it at tracks this year and last that he always struggled at his whole 13 year career and now all of a sudden he has no problem.
they took 200 hp out of the cars last year and basically turned them into xfinity cars all to benefit kyle.
