I think this is our worst track under Rodney. Practice the car was not fast at all not sure what they are struggling with, but the Gibb's cars look untouchable.

Not really sure what struggles you're talking about? He had really good speed on the long runs in practice? Rodney even said the car was fast, but it needed a couple of handling tweaks.
We go through this every week, the same people think the car is awful, and we're usually the fastest thing on the track when it comes race time.

He was 13th and 21st in practice and qualified 19th. On top of that this has been there worst track (which isn't saying much because they're still ok at it) since Kevin and Rodney teamed up. Rodney also said they were going to change a lot this morning and either be a hero or a zero.

He had the 5th best 10 lap average in HH, and that was late in the session in the hottest part of the day. You can't just look at overall results. He'll be contending for the win at some point. |

On twitter Rodney said it was to hot to practice (the race conditions would be different) and take the chance of ruining a good car.

We weren't the fastest during 2 practiced at Darlington either, but had (for the most part) the dominate car. Kevin's won here b4. It may take 150+ laps to get settled in the top 5, we'll be a contended at the end.

Dang, sounds like I knew it was gonna be a top 5.
Good race, 5th here is good. I think Kevin and Rodney are ready for the chase, good last month of races, good momentum, ect.

Im glad the pit crew looked good! Looks like Harvick is trying to step it up a notch too with the speeding penalty.
As for the race, good fight to get that top 5. But I was a little surprised at the way they struggled. Harvick usually runs good here, he knows how to race this track! I remember back in the Todd Berrier days this is one of the races I looked forward too, I knew KH would have a shot. Maybe its just that the Gibbs brigade was making everyone else look so bad...

I go by the lap averages and what Rodney tweets me directly. If he is fast in practice then usually we have the best car. Not last night and if not for the tire strategy we would have finished around 10th place. We had no chance at that race and I was right from the start. People tend to point figures when someone's post is negative. It is easy to back someone in a corner because it may not be what you want to here. At the end of the day I am usually right because I take everything in consideration before I post. I don't rely on the fact most of the time he has the best car it means nothing. I said the Gibb cars were untouchable and they were. |
