I will be there this weekend. I am hoping for a fast car that leads laps. I don't think we have led many laps in the 4 at the plate tracks, but hey that could change this weekend. Nothing to lose. I don't think he will ride around in the back.

IMHO... I think they'll bring a "Daytona" test car. I know the body and motor will be different in 2017, but they can still test a frame. I guess that is a good question, will the move to Ford also mean a completely new stable of frames? He was asked after the Kansas race about running Dega and he referenced Daytona and how hard the guys in the shop work to prepare stuff. I got the impression that Dega was going to be a test session for them... Anyway, I think he'll play in the beginning... make a few pushs for the front. I think he will then settle in the back and log laps. If he is in it at the end, he might try to push for a win, but it's going to get ugly and we already know that Logano has no problems pushing SHR drivers out of the way... I think he has managed to do it in every plate race for the past few years.

Early in practice, but the 2 and 22 looked really good. Harvick's car looks like normal. It always stays a car length back from the front car in the draft. Car just looks slow. Anytime he gets beside someone he gets stuck and passed. Meanwhile the 2 goes by people by his self.

I think Yates has a very good plate engine program. Perhaps that something to look forward to next year, although I look forward to plate tracks turning into road courses more.
I expect the 2 and the 22 to both make it through to the round of eight, unfortunately.

Well I talked to Rodney and ask if we have any chance at qualifying good today and he said No. I am guessing high 20's low 30's on what I saw yesterday during practice. Talladega really does not matter, but without speed there is no chance too dominant these races like the 2 does.

They're not getting a points penalty and Pearn is already explaining it away as a mistake

Penalties aren't announced till Wednesday's. His excuses shouldn't matter. They were caught using something that is specifically addressed in the rule book.

The actions of Kevin after the race are why I sometimes have to shake my head and wonder what he doing. He had no reason to be that mad at anybody and if he thinks Kurt damaged his car then why does he blow the rear tires on burnouts after he's won. Hypocritical shit there. Uncalled for.

Kevins got fire!! ...thats why i like him....once in a while the fire breaks out of it's container! warms the coecles of my heart to see he still has it in him---that it still matters!
