What you think about our chances for next year with the move..... Im thinking since Rodney is a Ford guy originally.... coupled with Ford desperately wanting some winning recognition... and we are building our own chassis...and a driver who clearly is not ready to hang it up.....we might just be OK. I'm thinking/hoping for a multi manufacturer champion.

I think it's going to be ugly. Building chassis themselves instead of getting them from Hendrick is a massive change, going from Hendrick power to Ford, which has been shown to be down on HP, is at least a step in the wrong direction, and SHR is adding two Xfinity teams and changing from Tony to Clint as well. It all stretches resources, and that stuff always shows up on the racetrack.
I'd be over the moon with something like his 2012 season where he made the Chase and won a race.

It might be a little better than what he depicted, but I'm not getting my hopes up for next year.

Rodney and Kevin have shown adaptability and speed even when the rest of SHR is down, so I think they'll be alright. Will they be as dominant as the last three years? Probably not. But I still think they'll be a top 5 team.

SHR was a dart with no feathers before Kevin and Rodney teamed up. They still are actually. The only bright spot in the whole organization is the 4 car. I personally think they can do it again next year. Rodney came from Toyota and did fine switching to Chevy.

I believe in half of ya. Kevin and Rodney will be just fine. It may take about 3 race's in past Daytona. Then the talk every week will be how good the 4 car is. Kevin, 5 wins, wins championship! Kurt, 2 wins, makes final 4 Danica, 1 win, yup I said it Clint, 1 win

Forgive me for not being educated on the move to Ford, I've avoided reading any of the article's.
Are we going to have an alliance with Roush? How does the Penske group fit in to sharing information? Will it be both?
My opinion based on what I see on the track is that if we can share info and have support with the Penske group, we may be able to hit the ground running. Im just not sure about the roush camp, they're lacking in every department over there.

When it was announced there was discussion to be aligned with Roush. I found it strange, why not work closely with Penske? Unless Penske wasn't willing to. As much as I dislike Brad and Joey, there is no denying that they are two top drivers with top teams. Specifically the strategists of Wolfe and Gordon... who always manage to make the right calls. I was also hoping to see KH in Penske Xfinity cars, but that seems unlikely even if there is a partnership since SHR is starting its own Xfinity shop.

"Roush" this is where my issues is at.... Well, I'm having a big Ford vs Chevy issue right now. But, I think the Ford camp is wide open for a top tier team. Kind of like JGR did when they moved from Chevy to Toyota. IMO, JGR would never have had the run they did this year in Chevy's. They moved so they could get out of the shadow of Hendrick. SHR is trying to do the same... They are in a position to be the premier Ford team! Penske will be a shadow team to SHR...eventually. May take a couple of years, but I believe it will happen. And with Jimmy winning another championship, Hendrick will be the premier Chevy team for the foreseeable future. When you think about the business decision, I think it is brilliant! With the Biff moving on, the way for complete and utter world domination is clear... or at least in the Ford world! Now if Clint hasn't lost his mojo and we can snag a Truex or a Jones...

On race hub tonight Andy Petree mentioned that they will be using their hendrick chassis and putting ford bodies on them. That's going to take a lot of the guess work out of it. It obviously has the do with the grandfathering in of older chassis that can be lighter than the new ones. My guess is that with how and where they mount their bodies, they will be able to duplicate front/rear percentages and down force numbers. Hopefully they can hit on something new also because the field has caught up to them quite a bit. Remember even this year many of us thought he could have won 6-8 and races with a better race strategist.

Well, hopefully it works out! I dont think I have to choose another driver for maybe 5 seasons...that is I dont think... If Harvick is running competitive and having fun like he is, I dont think he is even considering retiring. But if this team goes south it scares me!
I've just really enjoyed the equipment the past 3 seasons. Since Harvick has been in cup, the past 16 seasons Hendrick equipment has won the championship 10 times! Thats impressive! Hard to argue that they're not the best in the business! Ford better be prepared to spend some money!! Go 4 team!
