Here's my take:
Blame can be placed on several different factors, but it doesn't change the fact that Kevin was speeding and he didn't do his job at the end of the race. He manned up and took full responsibility. Yeah, what the #3 did was beyond stupid, but one fact about NASCAR races is there's typically going to be someone that does something stupid to bring these situations into play. You have to be prepared.
I'm not really saying this in defense of Kevin, because still at the end of the day, he's the one driving the car and controlling the speed. However, I listened to the #2's radio for most of the later part of the race. My friend is a Keselowski fan, so we listened to him for a good bit. Anyways, Paul Wolfe noticed a lot of guys getting busted for speeding. He came on the radio and made the team aware. After that, every time Brad's car was moving on pit road, Joey Meier never stopped saying: "DO NOT SPEED, DO NOT SPEED."
Maybe Rodney and Timmy should be a little more adamant about Kevin taking care of the little things he needs to take care of? The 2 crew is really good at dotting the i's and crossing the t's, and that ultimately put themselves in a great position to capitalize on Kevin's mistake.
The wins will come if the 4 car continues to be as fast as it was yesterday. I hated to see him lose the race like that, after all the misfortune he's had in Atlanta.
