Watching the race... While they were showing green flag stops, they showed a couple of Toyota's. Both had massive flames shooting out the exhaust during the stop. Eric Jones car seemed to burn the entire time the rear tire changer was changing the tire... Assuming this is excessive fuel burning off. What was interesting was they showed #22(Ford) next and absolutely no flames... So why the excessive flames in the Toyotas? Would all that excessive fuel have an impact on fuel mileage? The way I understand it, the crews tune the car for power or fuel mileage. Coming into the pits burning off excessive fuel seems that they tuned for power... You would think that they'd have horrible fuel mileage. Did not seem like they had an issue with it. It just caught me funny that both the Toyota's seemed to roast the rear tire changer. Don't think I have ever seen it that excessive before.
