So, I picked up Nascar Heat 2 and I am feeling a bit guilty! All of this ranting I have done on Toyota's! I have to confess! I've been cheating and it feels good! I have my settings at normal (even though I consider myself advanced). I also liberally use the restart option when I wreck. I take out Toyota drivers when ever I can. I've wrecked Christopher Bell so many times, I've lost count! I've amassed 6 wins in my rookie season! AND 3 wins running part time in the Xfinity series! I sit on my couch and think... I'm the best driver here! (easy when your the only one! LOL!). I guess I am starting to feel what the great drivers like The Kyle Busch and The Martin Truex feel. It's like they have the field set to 90% and they love it! It's really addictive!
Actually, I have been having a lot of fun! For a casual Nascar Racer, it is pretty good. Yes there are ALOT of issues. But for a past his prime in the video game scene, its been a lot of fun! WAY better than NASCAR Heat 1. If your looking for perfection, this game is NOT for you. If your looking for a game you can beat and bang in, mixed with some good racing, Don't mind a handle full of glitches and a ton of Toyota stuff. Pick it up... I know The Kyle Busch just loves to get wrecked! You could view it as a virtual punching bag! LOL!

Fun yeah, I had NASCAR 98 (I think) loved it. The best thing was you could go into the root drive and take the restrictions off on Daytona and Dega. Then I bought NASCAR 2000. They changed the engine sound and they sounded pretty Indy ish. Never played it just because of the sound.

Nascar Heat 2 also has issues with the sound... Like I said... lots of issues. But, It's the best console Nascar branded game in a long time... I think Forza 6/7 (has a limited number of Nascar racecars) is better to drive, but it lack the full field, rules, tracks and that pack style racing that is unique to NASCAR.

I think next year I'll hear what they really sound like from inside the car. Last year at the Bristol night race (I know it's been over a year and I haven't used it yet) I won a Richard Petty driving experience voucher. Well, a 199.00 card towards any type experience. The best thing is it doesn't expire. And I called them to verify that too. Had so much going on this year, I just couldn't swing it. Plus I think I'll throw in another few hundred and take the bigger ride. I can't remember all the different ones they have right now, but if I'm gonna do it, I want to be out there driving myself for at least a few laps. My friend did the one you ride along as a passenger a few years ago, he said that was great in itself. So I figured go a little more right.
