Well, Rodney dumped the speed setup and went with the handling setup. We never had speed to begin with. The best cars over the past 10 years are the ones at the top of the speed chart on single car runs. Everyear we struggle with speed at the plate tracks and the car is a snail. I'm not trying to be a smart ass here and make enemies off of the bat, as I'm fairly new to this. What's your background? Have you worked on a NASCAR team before? Have you driven a stock car around Daytona before? Any top level crew chief experience? All serious questions. Just curious what your credentials are to know enough about what's going on to question a top level championship winning crew chief? Wow, I'll be the smart ass to start the season. No I haven't done this or that. Yes I drove a Petty Experience car around Dega at 168 mph. But we Harvick fans know it all. When and what type car Rodney should bring to a race and even Friend when we think Kevin is not driving to his potential. Stick around, you'll even dig on Tombo sometime yourself. lol. Love yah Tombo, and look forward to your's and everyone else's opinion this year. Just like mine, 10 percent accurate.

I thought it had pretty good speed in qualifying today. Don't think they're out of the ballpark anyway.
Hope everyone is doing well.

I have been around Racing a very very long time and worked on more cars than you can count. I know the ends and outs of the sport, but It doesn’t matter what I know or anyway for that matter knows. It’s the reality of the situation the team is usually behind the 8 ball. if you pay attention and have watched the sport and followed Kevin, you will start to see a trend with most drivers, teams, and crew chiefs. Rodney is very good and Kevin even better, but at the plate tracks under Rodney, Kevin as yet to have a fast car. A difinition of a fast car is one that will lead laps and stay up front. The 2 car is a good example at the plate tracks.

Also, I am and pretty much every fan here is a diehard Harvick fan or we would not be here. That being said, there is not many things we don’t know about the team. We know the ends and outs of our favorite driver and all the stats to go with it and most of us as met Kevin or know Kevin.

Kevin trying anything and no one else join in him on a run yes,i seen that too and wtf happened at the end?he was like half a lap back..... 75 lap race, other than the dozing I did, they ran about 50 of them in single file. Kevin, by far, stepped out the most in hopes of more drivers joining to make a run towards the front. A few times, a couple cars would join him, but never more then 3 or 4. So he had to quickly get back in line. (like that good line in Jaws) sometimes the shark would go away, sometimes he wouldn't. So he got hung out to dry a lot. Including about 10 to go it looked like he had a good run but his followers went back in line and when the train went by him he lost the draft. Finishing result.

From the man himself
"Tried to make to many moves and lost the draft. My fault. Fast car handling fine just bad decisions on my part today."

From the man himself "Tried to make to many moves and lost the draft. My fault. Fast car handling fine just bad decisions on my part today." sometimes Kevin will be politically correct on how he explains what happens on the track, I think this was one of them. That last dive down may not have been the best part of the track, but then again, at least he was trying to make something happen. After the Duals last night (yeah I didn't get home until 1:30. And a tad chilly ride at that) Stenhouse called it like it was. Quote, he wasn't about to run the high line all race long and not try to make something happen.
