The last three races have obviously been rigged to entice Busch to become the pole award sponsor #NotMyNASCAR

My absolute first though was... "The 4 team just lost one of it's primary sponsors..." and with the news on the Jimmy Johns front, it will be interesting to see where this goes... Will Busch stay as a sponsor of the 4 car AND do the Pole sponsor also?

Speaking of sponsors Lowe's is leaving the 48 after the end of the season. Big changes happening in the sport folks, and none of them for the good.

That's official news from HMS. 48 to Have New Primary Sponsor in 2019

Kevin doesn't sound at all like he is losing Busch as a sponsor. I believe you guys are jumping to conclusions. Same thing with Jimmy Johns. A delivery guy says it so it has to be true.

Things like what's happening to the 48 are going to keep happening until the cost of racing decreases. NASCAR is going to eventually have to mandate a spending cap to control the costs. Say Lowe's was sponsoring JJ's car for $30M, would they have stayed if the cost was half of that at $15M?

If Jimmy would have diversified instead of only having Lowes as a sponsor, this would not be near the issue that it could quickly turn in to. Multiple sponsors for the win.

If you're HMS, do you really turn down a very reputable company that wants to sponsor you for the entire year? That seems awfully risky to me. Let's say you have company A, B, and C that want to sponsor 12 races each. A and B hold up to their agreements, but C turns out to be another Nature's Bakery. Then, you're screwed. Signing a company that is fully committed for the year mitigates a lot of potential risk. I'm sure HMS knew this was coming for a while, and it wouldn't surprise me if they already have something in place.

nascar went from being able to running a team on half million to 30 million almost over night.that means a lot of wasted money for very little gain.sponsors aren't dumb,im sure they can do math too.
