Not sure if you missed this part or not, but the 43 wrecked the 14, which took out the 4. Yes I have replayed this restart several times. While the 14 was driving around us, instead of picking us up like a True friend would have done, the 14 gets wrecked (KARMA) and his car gets launched into the 4. This is still all Boywers fault IMO. So, if you're Bowyer, and you're about to lose a bunch of spots if you don't move to the outside, you're telling me you'd stay to the inside to help your teammate and fall back to 15th?

It all came from the initial push that both lines gave. Jone stuck with Truex and maintained his push. Bowyer went for a pop style push.. it almost worked. Once Bowyer came off the back of Harvick, Bowyer really had no choice. Harvick's drop in speed was huge compared to the rest of the pack... If Bowyer sticks with him... Harvick gets turned. As it was, Bowyer got turned and in the process, it collected Harvick. How was Truex able to drop off the lead pack and be able to get back to the front in just a few laps with very little help.... the guy was 10 car length off the pack and the booth kept saying that he just kept dragging guys along! Talk about a GO FAST button!

The problem right from that restart was that the 6 car had trouble getting going whereas the outside line had the 78, 20 AND the 95 all lined up perfectly. If Bayne hadn't screwed the pooch so bad, maybe then the 14 could have kept up better.
God knows I'm not one to stick up for Bowyer, but between the 6 not going and his car being f'd up, I don't think he necessarily did anything wrong. I mean you can argue right before the wreck when he dumped the 4 in the draft to look after his own behalf that was wrong, but at that point pretty much all hope for winning was lost and I'm fine trying to get what you can get.

I'm all for teammates during a race, but it's always been (ie,) 10 to go and it's everyman for themselves. If the role was reversed and Kevin jumps to the outside and doesn't get turned and ends up winning the race, you'd all be saying how good it was for going to the outside to try and make something happen. That was just bad luck with Bowyer getting turned and collecting Kevin, yeah it sucked but it was what it was, jmo.
