I know it's a little early, but (if my calculations and understanding of the points system are correct)
If Truex wins both stages and finishes 2nd he gets 55 points (total of 3138 points) Keselowski/Larson/Bowman/Blaney wins and advances
Kevin would still just have to score 11 points total (26th - or lower if he scores stage points) to beat Truex to the round of 8.

I think the ideal scenario for this weekend is having a good run that lets the 4 advance while one of the guys outside the cut line wins and knocks the 78 out.

The 4 can't unless the 78 has a terrible day or some sort of problem. It has to be somebody below the cutoff line.

If Brad has a decent car I think he's going to be tough this week. Kevin, if not winning just needs his average day, he'll be fine. Not everyone is going to finish in front of him.
