Lots of changes headlined by Phoenix 2 now being the championship race.
Atlanta moves back to after the early season West Coast Swing instead of being the second race of the year. Homestead is the week after Atlanta.
Martinsville 1 is now a night race and is the Saturday night of Mother's Day Weekend.
Both Pocono races are being run on the same weekend in late June.
Brickyard 400 is now the July 4th weekend race.
Daytona 2 is now the last race before the playoffs.
Darlington starts the playoffs. Then Richmond and the Bristol night race which traded spots with Dover 2. Round 2 is Vegas, Talladega, the Charlotte Roval, then Kansas, Texas, and Martinsville is the last race.

I like it! I'll definitely be hitting up the Martinsville night race in May, and the Bristol playoff race, maybe even Darlington as well.
Don't understand the Pocono double header other than shortening the schedule, nor moving Indy to July. Who wants to go watch the Brickyard in the middle of summer? I thought they moved that race last year because of the heat?

It is what it is on this stuff but I really don't like Talladega 2 and the Roval being in the same round. If you don't win Vegas you have to survive two lottery races, which is just begging for someone or someones who did nothing wrong and were just an innocent victim getting knocked out of the playoffs.

I agree with Greg on the Roval and Dega, everything else I like.
I hope he can get his mojo back at Phoenix!
Anyone want to place bets on how many cars are running at the end of Daytona 2? My pick = 11

I'm guessing 11 is too high

Eh for the changes. I haven't decided yet. But what on earth are they doing to Pocono? Curious on what ticket prices will be, also another track that doesn't sell out, (although I personally like the tricky triangle. 3 different degrees of banking on 3 different corner radiuses. Been there once) is it gonna be 100 bucks for each race, or the weekend and throw in RV's tail gating they may only want to purchase 1 day race tickets. I guess they know what they're doing... Oh hell no...

Oh hell no... Pocono made a statement yesterday that ticket prices will not change, which is awesome! You'll have ARCA, Xfinity, Trucks, and 2 cup races all in one weekend.

There's also been some pretty hard hits at Pocono because of the speeds. Hopefully no one ever gets hurt on Saturday and can't run on sunday

Gonna definitely be interesting how Pocono "weekend" pans out..... The rest---who knows.... Guess I can cross off going to Homestead for the Champ race off my bucket list...
