Noticed that Kevin now has 23 wins at each organization. 6 years at SHR and 13 at RCR. Same amount of wins in less than half the time. As frustrating as things have been sometimes, he definitely made the right move.

That stat is incredibly frustrating. It took twice as long to get to the same amount of wins - many in "where did he come from" fashion. Knowing how close he's been to probably about 40-50 with SHR already, I think its fair to say he could have had the same pace in good equipment those first thirteen years. So instead of him being at 46 wins, he could be looking at around 69 wins, with a legitimate shot to catch Earnhardt and Gordon before his retirement. And effectively going down as one of the best drivers of all time. That isn't even mentioning the fact that the way KH races was built for the old style of the chase, where he could have top fived them to death and be a multi-time champion too. I was sad to leave him see RC, but the last six seasons has made it astounding to see just how much KH was held back by being there.

I'll add to that - better equipment = more wins, which would have taken wins from the crown prince of the 2000's, JJ. So there is a genuine chance their numbers are identical. And yes, of course that's all hypothetical, but evidence seems to support a different first 13 years of his career had he been in Hendrick (or another Tier 1 team's equipment).

Same here, again on his style of racing built around old points system. Back 5 years ago when JJ ran 5 in a row. (I know he played the winning game) someone did the math (some geek specialist in the racing network, I can't remember who) but if they hadn't changed the point system, just in that 5 year spread, JJ would have 2, Tony 1, Gordon 1 and Kevin 1.
I think a lot of what if's back in the RCR days.....
