We're in big trouble with that qualifying effort.
Surprised he did not attempt a 3rd lap as bad as his second was. Are they only allowed 2 with this old school format?

The Car had decent long run speed today.
He could have started in the mid teens. He had to catch it on his second lap and lost at least a tenth.
He's got nothing for the 11 or the rest of the Gibbs cars.
Hoping they can earn a top ten or steal a top five.

Hate to say it...4 team needs to max point this race. Run it for points not a win. Love to see him win but 5 of the 8 are already starting in spots that will get stage points...

Yup, it's been a mediocre year. Took the 4 team along time to find their stride, and then they lost 1/2 of it a lousy month later. It's gonna be hit or miss to make it to Miami. Like you've said, it's gonna be a lot of talk about Chase, and Hamlin imo
