So we're all supposed to be social distancing ourselves from each other. Hey not social media distancing.
Not to bring any fun to this virus going around, because the truth is everyone will be effected in one way or another. Some harder than others. But how's everyone doing.
Down here in Central Florida, we're doing ok I guess, most places are still open. On limited operations. IE, restaurants can't have more then 50% of customers and seat every other table. Fast foods and banks are drive-thru only. Some places are closed.
My sister in NY, wow, just got off the phone with her, she lives 1-1/2 hrs north of the city and she said just about everything is closed. You're not supposed to be in public with more then 4 people unless your family.
A lot of people's work are closed, limited or normal, mine here is still normal work.
Just checking, all be safe, careful and healthy.

I live on the coast just south of Myrtle beach. Schools and restaurants were shut down several weeks ago. Not many cases here but the Governor decided to get in front of it. Most businesses are closed. It's pretty strange. I feel bad for all the people that are laid off. Lets hope this virus clears out soon because w/out paychecks people are going to get restless (to put it mildly).
That said, Nascar might as well call it a shortened season and hand kevin the trophy. It will give them plenty of time to build next years cars.

Close to NYC up here--- A real mess, folks still misbehaving. I probably have it (it sucks pretty bad, but I've had worse), been out of work for 2 weeks due to illness. Watched the I race series, Kevin is supposed to be in it this weekend.
Happy hours will be on the radio today so that will be good.

I like the indifference between cities, counties and states as to what jobs are deemed essential. Everyone has their own opinions, and some companies are saying and getting letters saying they are essential to keep their employees employed. Good in one aspect but not so much in another.
This mess isn't over with yet, you all continue to be safe out there...

I'm still working but anxious to have everything open back up. We are a tourist area and the service industry is in shambles. Hopefully all of the great restaurants can reopen. I feel for the ones in the hot spots. Has to be bad but hopefully they are on the road to recovery also. Good luck everyone. |
