I've heard the same story at every track. Whomever is out front in clean air can't be passed yet in every race the leader gets passed. I'm looking forward to another great racing weekend. Harvick should have won 3 all star races in a row a couple of years ago, but came out 2nd off pit road and never could pass the leader even with a car that’s 2 tenths faster. If you go way back in time to win Kevin won his last truck race at Atlanta, he never lifted the entire run and Kyle Busch was running 2nd. He fussed about not being able to pass Kevin because they were running wide open. Wide open Racing for the lead will suck. Just common sense. Yeah, they lost common sense about the same time they lost fans in the seats. Oh wait, duh...... |

It's embarrassing how slow these cars are down the straightaway. during the race, I can't recall them ever mentioning the speed, I wonder why |

I though after the open that it might be ok... Glad our guy won... glad this is not the normal package going forward! They were getting insane runs they couldn't do anything with.

Well already talk about this package being at all 1.5 mike tracks and 2 mile tracks next year. The race was good, better than any other all star race in the past, but this package takes our advantage away big time.

nascar needs to let it be and make the other teams catch up instead of manipulating the sport.that is the problem with it is the constant change.
leave it alone.if the Toyota drivers,mainly kryle,dont like it,then they will have to figure out a way to go faster instead of depending on nascars hand in the mix..

I can't believe the negativity about the racing quality. I thought it was great. I was at the race, and it was exciting the entire time. A ton of action through the entire field. And the 4 put on a show.
That was easily the best racing I've seen at that track in years. Yes, the cars looked slow. And they sounded a bit different too. But once they got going, I forgot all about the speed.
As for the future, I like what Kez said. If they change the rules to this package, the teams will find ways to screw it up.

If they change the rules to this package, the teams will find ways to screw it up. it was one of the worst races ever.it was so hard to watch,very slow...a follow the leader type Daytona race.they need to take restrictors off all tracks and make them let up in the corners.the way the cars looked ,it looked like the drivers were very limited on what to do. |
