I can't believe the negativity about the racing quality. I thought it was great. I was at the race, and it was exciting the entire time. A ton of action through the entire field. And the 4 put on a show. That was easily the best racing I've seen at that track in years. Yes, the cars looked slow. And they sounded a bit different too. But once they got going, I forgot all about the speed. As for the future, I like what Kez said. If they change the rules to this package, the teams will find ways to screw it up. it was one of the worst races ever.it was so hard to watch, very slow...a follow the leader type Daytona race.they need to take restrictors off all tracks and make them let up in the corners.the way the cars looked ,it looked like the drivers were very limited on what to do. . I think for a all star race, the race was exciting to me. However, I do not want to see this at no other track other than maybe Pocono, Indy, or a new repave 1.5 mike track. If the cars handled in the race with no one lifting, it would have been follow the leader type of race through the whole entire field. This is the reason why NASCAR has to be careful and not go over board.

If the cars handled in the race with no one lifting, it would have been follow the leader type of race through the whole entire field. This is the reason why NASCAR has to be careful and not go over board. So, I was surprised. I figured the race would be full of side-drafting and sustained runs. And it was to an extent. What I did not expect was how tire wear and handling affected the racing. That added an element of "best running car" will get rewarded instead of the luckiest driver wins. My biggest gripe was the insane runs that pewtered to nothing in the attempt to pass. KB ran the 78 down twice (he even said it on the radio) and still could not pull off a pass. They all were getting HUGE runs. In the end, the leader from the final restart had the advantage...which was the same problem they had before. They're just trying to make it smell better. With this package... we as the fans are all getting hoodwinked... I think that given time any package will get engineered to a point it's sterile to watch. It's basically where we are at now. Maybe it's time to take away the review mirrors. So runs can lead to this novel idea... a pass! Sure there will be a few more wrecks... it will be harder. In my opinion, there are too many mirror drivers... I know Kevin has lost several races due to a mirror driver or too.
