We have 2 races left...quite honestly if it was in the old format we would probly be done so it's nice to have 2 races to get back in the top 12 and then points reset. Finished 3rd and 2nd at New Hampshire and Dover this year and I honestly think if he has those finishes again he would still point his way into the next round even without a win in the next 2 races but let's just go out and win next week! We know how Kevin races when his back is against the wall and I would much rather have this happen today than later in the chase. Let's go Kevin!!

We know how Kevin races when his back is against the wall and I would much rather have this happen today than later in the chase. Let's go Kevin!! In reality, that is correct. But, I must say I was very disappointed in Kevin's confrontation with JJ after the first chase race. In evaluating the circumstances it was clear the #22 push the #24 onto the apron. Kevin defended his position despite his ability to move over and let JJ back on the track. Mistake #2 was failing to pit and get either 2 or 4 new tires. That set Kevin up for disaster. Mistake #3 was getting into it with JJ, a longtime friend. Posturing and chutzpah gets you just so far and taking it out on JJ was inappropriate. Evidence is Delana's disappointment in Kevin's behavior as well. By the way, I'm a Harvick fan from way back, and I still hope he's ends up winning the championship.

I, too, am a bit disappointed in Kevin's reactions to Jimmie. Jimmie was the "go to guy" for Kevin in last year's championship run. Kevin said that he leaned on Jimmie on how to deal with the pressure. It was Logano who pushed Jimmie. Jimmie could have chosen to hit Kevin, but swung out to the apron to avoid hitting Kevin. Kevin could have given him some room to come back on the track. Instead he tried to pin him down. Jimmie had to get back on track. The first bump from Jimmie should have been the clue to move a bit. I also agree that Kevin should have come in for tires after that episode. I didn't think that was the way to deal with the situation. Hope those 2 can get things smoothed out. I have been a Kevin fan since the death of Dale & will continue to be a fan of his. I just feel that that was not the right approach to use after the race.

This isn't the first time Kevin and Jimmie has had a run in. I'll never forget him calling for Kevin's firing and I'm sure Kevin hasn't either. I do appreciate the help Jimmie gave Kevin last year but yall have to understand the emotions involved when at the end of the day Kevin finished 42nd. That was not the best time to try and go talk to Kevin yesterday and he probly should have just waited and sent a text a couple days later or talk next weekend!

His twitter account has been unusually silent....... Actually I thought it has been unusually quiet for quite some time. H probably needs to chill anyway. eff that,he just went from 1st last week to worst this week with nascars joke of a "chase" point system because struggling johnson wrecked him while in the lead. he needs to voice how ridiculous this chase system is.he needs to voice about the ignorance the 6 time champion displayed yesterday. I myself because of this years "change the rules for kyle busch" crap am about sick of nascar and their wanting to "make it better for the fans" bs.what fans?sure as hell isn't us real nascar fans. eff jimmie Johnson, eff nascar and always eff kyle busch.ive had it with all of them.the arca series had better racing this year without all the manipulation like nascar has anyway, ill be watching a lot more next year.its still racing unlike the circus act nascar has turned itself into.

lots of factors...the push from joey, jimmie slamming his way back up, kevin not giving any room (really why should he though?). I can see why everyone would be upset. I like seeing fire, but it seems silly for guys pushing 40 to be out there swinging. We'd go to jail for doing that

I'm curious as to what 4 drivers Harvick is going to beat on points if he doesn't win? I don't see it. Menard, Bowyer, McMurray ok. If 1 of the other drivers doesn't have a wreck and finish 30th or worse, then if Harvick finishes 2nd in both races and leads a lap in both races, Gordon would have to finish 12th or worse in both races and not lead a lap. The positions get worse as you go up. Truex would have to finish 14th or worse in BOTH races. Jr 15th BOTH races. All these drivers finish up front. He needs HELP or a win.

The odds of nothing happening to the other chasers the next 2 weeks is not very likely. If anything was going to happen this will be the easiest round to point in but I honestly think we will win Dover. They have had absolute dominant cars the last 3 races there we just can't knock the valve stem off this time around!

Logano has had issues wrecking pushing people at the wrong time all season! Remember his "Push" of Harvick in Daytona!?!?
I can't imagine anyone at this point really believes it's an "Accident" anymore!
